Cooking & washing up!

Created by Steve 7 months ago

I remember Nan cooking amazing Christmas dinners for all the family. As a child my treat was always a turkey drumstick which was about the size if my head!

i remember the first time i went to stay with her and introduced her to Sharon, my new girlfriend (now wife). Again, she cooked us a lovely meal. Sharon, being keen to make a good impression, offered to wash up and was truly horrified by how much washing up one person could make cooking a meal for only 3 people! I think every pot and pan in the whole house had been used.

She would boss my poor Grandad around and make sure he had finished all of his chores before being allowed to disappear into his shed to enjoy his model railway.

Nan has been there all my life, never afraid to tell me off when derserved it (even in my fifties!) but i will always remember the last time i saw her and telling me she loved me. X
